Mexican Chilli |
Ingredients
- One kilo of lean beef mince
- 1/2 kilo of spicy sausages
- 4 big tomatoes
- 4 big onions
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup of black beans( soaked
overnight in water to soften)
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp paparika
- 2 tsp oregano
- a large variety of peppers (red,
green, etc) chopped into 1" squares
Method
- Saute the onions,till nice and
brown.
- Add the garlic and tomatoes.
- Once the tomatoes are
liquidified, add the sausages and fry well.
- Add the beef and salt to taste
and cook.
- Once the beef is almost cooked,
add the peppers and spices and simmer for an hour over a low
flame.
Tips :
- The longer you simmer it the
better it tastes!
- And it is even better the
day after you make it.
- You can add a soup cube for
additional flavour if you like.
