At some point last year I’m sure you caught yourself saying: it can’t get any worse than this. (Saturn is like that: dreary beyond belief but, oh so good for the soul!) Well, I am not going to tell you that 2002 is going to be the big turn-around year but it will be a vast improvement on 2001. Finances could be the first area in which you see improvements and January is the month to develop new business ideas, resolve monetary disagreements and to start to build for the future. Once you have laid those foundations you can begin to widen your field of operations, which may include travel and foreign connections. Three of the year’s eclipses (26^th May, 10^th June and 4^th December) focus on your sign and especially if your birthday falls in late May and between the 3^rd and 11^th June an out of the blue event will alter the shape of your life in the following twelve months.

A great sea change has been happening – no longer are you the cool cucumber of the zodiac but prepared to commit yourself exclusively to a partner and to put up with the harshest and most painful aspects of relating. This is a continuing trend so, even if you feel you are still the elusive butterfly of love events this year could evoke some profound changes within you – watch those aforementioned eclipse dates. Late April to mid-June is one period when love could strike like a thunderbolt, the first half of December is another. Doing all for love is the theme of 2002, whether this translates as your leaving an established relationship in order to find someone who meets your desires and expectations or whether your love is tested to the limit – and transcends even your expectations.

Growing up is particularly hard on Gemini – you are, after all the Peter Pan of the zodiac – but if there’s one thing Saturn can do when he transits your sign is get you to take on great responsibilities and to work through a challenging situation, without losing focus or faith.
