Snag delays flight Thursday, December 6, 2001

AHMEDABAD: Passengers bound for Mumbai were delayed here by about four hours when the morning Indian Airlines flight failed to take off on time.

According to sources in the airlines, flight 1C-614, scheduled for departure at 7:10 a.m. developed a snag in the Airbus-320. Flight engineers who tried to rectify it, after an examination decided to call off the flight in view of its complexity. Subsequently another plane had to be arranged.

It took off at 11.15 a.m. after a Boeing 737 arrived from Mumbai.
