Complaint filed against Madhavpura Bank officials Tuesday, April 24, 2001
AHMEDABAD: A criminal complaint has been filed with the city police here against three top officials of Madhavpura Mercantile Cooperative Bank involved in the pay order scam.
MMCB's administrator S Ramachandran lodged the complaint for cheating, forgery and breach of trust against the bank's chairman Ramesh Parikh, chief executive officer Devendra Pandya and its Mumbai branch manager Jagdish Pandya, police said.
The Madhavpura police station has registered a case against them under Section 420 (cheating), 409 (forgery), 406 (breach of trust), 408 (forged documentation), 120 (B) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and also under provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, police said.
