Delegation to seek MMCB’s revival Tuesday, May 22, 2001

Ahmedabad May 21: A four member delegation from Gujarat comprising finance minister Vaju Vala, minister of cooperatives Raman Vora, registrar of state cooperatives R M Joshi and chairman of Ahmedabad District Cooperative Bank Amit Shah would visit New Delhi on Tuesday for the revival of beleaguered Madhavpura Mercantile Cooperative Bank. The delegation would meet Union home minister L K Advani and finance minister Mr Yashwant Sinha for procuring credit guarantee for MMCB.

Another woman, Shobha V B Malli, 25, a resident of Middle Class Society, Shahwadi, was burnt severely when she was cooking at her residence on Saturday afternoon at 4.00 pm. She was admitted to L G Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning.
