Ex-employee charges Zydus with issuing forged cheque Monday, November 26, 2001

AHMEDABAD: A complaint was lodged against the Zydus Cadila Group in which the complainant charged the company with issuing a forged cheque for Rs 3,29,508. However, the company sources said Srivastava had a record of forging documents for which his services were terminated recently.

Complainant Manoj P Srivastava, a former employee of the company alleged that the cheque of Bank of Baroda, issued by the company vice-president finance M K Patel, in his favour was dishonoured. According to him the account against which the cheque was issued was non-existent.

The Satellite police to whom the complaint was lodged said the company office was closed on Saturday. So nothing could be done.

Srivastava alleged that the cheque was issued to him in August and when it was dishonoured he lodged the complaint.
