HC notices to Bahucharaji authorities Monday, September 3, 2001

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat High Court has issued notices to Mehsana district collector, district development officer and other officials following a public interest litigation contending encroachments on the main road in the pilgrim centre of Bahucharaji.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice D M Dharmadhikari and Justice K R Vyas issued notices following the PIL moved by advocate P K Soni. He contended that despite the place being a pilgrim centre and orders issued by the panchayat, encroachments were on the rise in the village.
