Class 11 admissions to begin from today Monday, June 11, 2001

Ahmedabad, June 10: The District Education Office will kick off admission to standard 11 (science) from Monday. As many as 12,528 seats in schools offering courses in science will be open to the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination passout candidates.

In the wake of 68.91 SSCE success result, the DEO announced that about nine new schools would begin functioning from the forthcoming academic session. A press release issued by the DEO (Ahmedabad City) S.B. Mandlik on Sunday gave out relevant information to the students seeing admission to science stream in standard 11th across various schools in Ahmedabad.

“94 schools in the city and rural areas of Ahmedabad are offering education in Gujarati language, while 31 offer courses in English. About 9,360 students can be accommodated in the Gujarati schools while 2,592 can be admitted to English medium schools,” the release informed.

“About 10,932 students were admitted in schools offering courses in science during the last academic session, and 939 seats were left vacant,” the release stated. All admission related queries of students would be attended to by counselors at the N.P. Thakkar HS, Paldi between 12 noon and 4 p.m. beginning Monday to June 25, Mandlik informed.
