BJP wrests city taluka panchayat from Cong Friday, December 14, 2001

RAJKOT: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has wrested the Rajkot taluka panchayat from the Congress. Hardevsinh Jadeja, sarpanch of the Rajsamadhiya village has been elected as president, while Dinesh Parsana has been elected as its vice-president.

In the outgoing taluka panchayat, the Congress had 10 members out of the 19 seats and the BJP had 9.

The position has been reversed now.
